Biography
Kari Taggart (she/her) is a board-certified clinical pharmacist specialist in critical care medicine at Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center. Her research interests and focuses include simulation in learning, active learning strategies, patient safety and critical care performance improvement. Taggart is also interested in the well-being of clinicians. She enjoys teaching nephrology, nutrition and sepsis management in the P3 therapeutics sequence as well as a wide variety of critical care topics as a co-instructor of a P3 critical care elective. Taggart is the co-adviser of the Kappa Epsilon Chi chapter at SDSU and enjoys engaging with a wide variety of students and learners. Additionally, Taggart is a prior PGY2 Critical Care Residency director and remains heavily involved in PGY1 and PGY2 resident training.
